Who should watch this movie: People who laugh at fart jokes. People who want to better understand their nerdy white friends.
When should you watch this movie: You don’t need to be in the right mood for this movie, just put it on whenever.
The sell: The humor in this movie is by no means “intellectual” or nuanced, but it’s certainly not low-hanging fruit. The jokes are creative and consequently weird. Like, really weird. And that’s what’s so fun about this movie. Every scenario and every joke is unexpected. The Monty Python crew expertly cut an epic story down to size and turned one of the most revered myths into a farce. And in doing so, they create an entirely new epic of their own. This has to be one of the most quotable movies of all time if not The most quotable.
