YES

Who should watch this movie: Lost 20-somethings amidst existential crisis and uncertainty in their careers/life-course. Ugh me, probably soon.

When should you watch this movie: ASAP

The sell: Moana is a Disney movie, yes, but it takes the Disney format and runs with it. Moana is a story about a girl on a quest to save her people from spreading darkness, but along the way she is confronted with insecurities of self and identity. The overarching message of Moana is about knowing where you are going by knowing who you are, which means knowing where you have been. This message incorporates exploration of tradition, family, progress, fear, and inner strength in a way that is relevant to audiences of all ages. Killer soundtrack by Lin Manuel Miranda, and Jemaine Clement voices a giant crab. You WILL cry.
