I’d like to apologize to all of Ireland
NO

Director: Anand Tucker
Language: English
Who should watch this movie: Irish people, for a laugh. People who have been recently engaged and just want to judge other people’s proposals.
When should you watch this movie: When you’re feeling very forgiving of outdated gender stereotypes
The sell: I have very little to say in defense of this movie beyond Matthew Goode’s face. Not only is it a bad romcom but it is an embarrassing portrayal of Ireland (as a nation and a people). It is, however, a perfect representation of the “fake irish” sub-population of America. Leap Year contributes nothing in the way of love-story, in fact the chemistry between Amy Adams and Matthew Goode is depressingly absent. Shout out to Dingle though. If you’re ever there, you should visit the Celtic & Prehistoric Museum. It’s run by my cousin Harry, and he’s really a funny guy. He used to play the hammered dulcimer on the street and sell CDs out of the back of this van.
