Die Hard

Not as fun or cool as people made it seem

Release Date: July 15, 1988
Director: John McTiernan
Language: English

Who should watch this movie: People who love Brooklyn 99 and want to understand why it’s Jake Peralta’s favorite movie (it does explain a lot). People who are really committed to the concept of “a classic”

When should you watch this movie: Christmas, but only if you hate your family. Honestly, just read the wikipedia page and see the youtube clip where he says “Yippe-kay-yay motherfuckers” because that’s the best part of the movie.

The sell: This is not a good movie from a film-making perspective (it is slow, choppily paced, the action is not exciting or well choreographed and the dialogue is annoying), nor is it a good movie from a corny action movie perspective (again, not fun or cool). The one redeeming aspect is Alan Rickman being Alan Rickman. Nothing else about the movie makes sense.
